Paula is the Founder and Principal Consultant at PJ Zimmerman Advisors and is inspired by making sure business leaders aren’t navigating their people challenges alone.
For more than 18 years, Paula has been the first call for business leaders with immediate, uncertain, or complex needs in their Human Resources work. She prides herself in getting to know her clients, empathizing with their needs, and providing reliable counsel in the most challenging HR matters, including policy and process improvement, employee relations matters, misconduct investigations and mediations, diversity and inclusion programs, culture and compliance training seminars, and HR crisis management.
Paula began her career working in AmLaw 200 firms before transitioning to lead national compliance, benefits, operations and employee relations teams for a large, national nonprofit with employees and offices in over 40 states across the United States.
Paula is energized by her work because she believes that we can improve the world by improving the workplace. In addition to consulting, she counsels individuals in transition working to achieve their next level of gainful employment as a volunteer with HomeFront in Trenton, NJ. She is also a former board member of The Career Wardrobe in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which provides training, clothing and other employment assistance for women in transition entering the workforce. In addition to being an HR Consultant, Paula enjoys iphoneography, traveling, and knitting. She is currently learning to hand-knot pearls, seeking new and better office supplies and shuttling between sporting events with an iced coffee, her husband and two sons.
